Training the Christian Leaders of Tomorrow, Today

Christian Leadership Program

Casa Misionera provides a Christian Leadership Program for select young adults in the Dominican Republic. Working with local pastors and educators, we identify students who have the potential to become great Christian leaders. Students receive training and mentorship during our 4-year program, that runs parallel with their university schedule, with the goal of sending out effective leaders by graduation day.

Nelson's Story

A Faithful Christian Servant Obedient to God's Calling

After 24 years of full-time ministry service, 4 years with World Servants and the last 20 years with VisionTrust, the Lord gave Nelson Pablo Paulino a vision to train the next generation of Christian leaders in Latin America.

After much prayer, in obedience to God’s calling, Nelson resigned as Regional Director for Latin America with VisionTrust in 2020, and faithfully started Casa Misionera to identify, equip and mentor young adults in the Dominican Republic.

Will you help Nelson and Casa Misionera train the Christian leaders of tomorrow?

Where We Work

The Dominican Republic

The Dominican Republic is known for it’s white sandy beaches and aqua blue waters to those outside the country. Unfortunately, many Dominicans rarely get to enjoy the beautiful coastline, as they struggle to make ends meet.

Living conditions are improving in this developing nation, but a third of the population still lives in poverty, and 7% live in extreme poverty. Casa Misionera chooses to work with Christian students who need financial assistance to attend University.

About Us

Mark Cornelison
“The work and ministry of Casa Misionera is vital to seeing this beautiful country become everything God desires it to be. The development of the next generation of leaders is the heart of this ministry and I am thankful to be allowed to be part of this Kingdom work. The future is wide-open and so my prayer is that many will join us in expectation of what God has in store.”

Casa Misionera is a bright light for the youth that have so many dreams in leadership and Christian ministry. Unfortunately, many of them lack opportunities like this ministry provides. We will see a new generation of leaders in missions that will be able to execute at a professional level. This will honor God and serve people well. Casa Misionera reminds me of the school of Daniel in the Old testament where young leaders were being formed into the light of the world.

Over 20 years ago I met a young man in the Dominican Republic who was struggling to accomplish his dream. Nelson was attending university, a youth leader in his church and trying to hold down a part time job so he could go to school. Our paths crossed many times and eventually we hired him to translate for our mission teams. Nelson was funny, optimistic, a quick learner and a friend to everyone. He quickly proved himself a leader and I offered him his first full-time job in ministry. I am now thrilled to recommend Nelson and his new ministry, Casa Misionera, to you. There is an immense need to raise up, train and equip mission and ministry leaders in the DR. Nelson's new dream is to do just that. Dominican Pastors will select qualified high school graduates from their church and recommend them to Casa Misionera. During their 4 years at university they will receive specific ministry training and online workshops to enable them while they also serve in their local church. This huge dream will need your help to enable Nelson to reach his goal of getting more young leaders into the mission field in the DR.
